Context & contribution

Project context

A feasibility study commissioned by Network Rail to examine options for closing level crossings in Stowmarket and understand the implications for the surrounding road network.

My contribution

Led elements of the feasibility assessment within WSP’s wider project team.
Used the existing SATURN model to test scenarios associated with potential crossing closures.
Analysed changes in traffic distribution and contributed technical findings to the assessment of closure options.

Working context

Undertaken while working at WSP as part of its project team. Network Rail commissioned the wider feasibility study; this example describes my contribution within that appointment.
